Modifications can range from simple aesthetic changes to major performance upgrades. These modifications can be performed by car enthusiasts, mechanics, or professionals specializing in car customizations.

Performance Modifications:

  • Engine Mods: Upgrading the engine or its components to increase power. Examples include installing a turbocharger, supercharger, high-performance air intake systems, aftermarket fuel injectors, or tuning the engine control unit (ECU).
  • Exhaust System: Upgrading the exhaust system for better airflow, reduced back pressure, and a sportier sound. Examples include aftermarket exhaust headers, catalytic converters, and mufflers.
  • Suspension: Modifying the suspension system (shocks, struts, springs) to improve handling, ride height, or comfort. Lowering the car or adding performance coilovers are common suspension mods.
  • Brakes: Upgrading the braking system with larger, more powerful brake discs, performance brake pads, or a big brake kit to improve stopping power, especially for high-performance vehicles.
  • Tires and Wheels: Installing wider tires or alloy wheels to improve traction and aesthetics, or using specialized tires for different driving conditions (e.g., off-roading or racing).
  • Intake and Air Flow: Adding high-flow air filters, intake manifolds, or cold air intakes to boost engine efficiency and power.
